5. Joints and Grouting:

Fill the gaps between the step stones with jointing compound or polymeric sand. Use a trowel to work the material into the joints, ensuring it is filled to the top. Brush away any excess jointing compound or sand from the surface of the steps.

6. Sealing and Finishing:

Once the mortar and joints have cured, seal the steps with a penetrating sealer to protect them from moisture and stains.
