1. Surface Preparation

2. Neutralizing the Surface

Concrete patios contain alkaline salts, which can react negatively with acid stains. Neutralize the surface using a solution of muriatic acid and water (refer to manufacturer's instructions for specific ratios). This prevents chemical imbalances that can lead to inconsistent staining.
